Fundraiser Event
Was a HUGE SUCCESS
Raising over $14,000.00 for our two Food Pantries
On behalf of all the guests and volunteers at St. Anthony's Market, and as the Director, I am very grateful at the outpouring of kindness, generosity and caring that so many people demonstrated at the Doin' It For Diane Fundraiser Dinner/Auction.
From the inception of this year's event to the culmination of all the hard work, time and dedication on the night of April 26th, it has been an honor and a privilege to work with so many dedicated members of the DIFD Committee.
I was overwhelmed by our community of merchants, shops people, restauranteurs and food vendors. Maintaining a livelihood in the marketplace is a challenge today. It is because of that very challenge that the donations of all these people of trade was so touching and impressive.
It is always easier to give from excess - so much more difficult to give in harder times. I carry over those same sentiments to the people who purchased tickets, bid on items, entered raffles - for the same reasons. The Ilse Marks Pantry and St. Anthony's are on the front lines of the results of the economic and employment crisis. We are the people who look into the face of discouragement and need. Thank you to everyone involved in this event that we are able to say, "Yes, we have groceries for you today"

WOW! What an amazing event. The DIFD fundraiser was even more successful than we imagined. We sincerely thank everyone who worked so diligently to make this an incredible evening. The hard work and dedication really showed and paid off.
We certainly could not have pulled this off without the donations from our generous local merchants. It's wonderful knowing that our business community is so caring and supportive. As always we appreciated all the party goers who opened their hearts and wallets to such a worthy cause. Because of all of you we will be able to keep our shelves stocked and continue to help our friends and neighbors.
