Well, we did it again, raising $17,000.00 for our two food pantries, Ilse Marks Food Pantry and St. Anthony's Free Market. What a fabulous night, the food was superb, the mood was festive and the music wonderful, thanks again to our friends, Chris "Sonny" Petrie and the "Insufficient Funds".
Everyone had a wonderful time talking with their friends and neighbors at the tables, picking which raffle items they were planning on taking home with them and bidding on the many items offered during both the Live and Silent auctions.
Last year we raised just over $14,000.00 and weren't really expecting much more this year (though I did set a lofty goal of $18k just in case) but to take in $3000.00 more than last year, while still coming out of a terrible economy, just proves that people's hearts are in the right place!
With over 25 volunteers this year, working for the past 6 months planning and doing all of the work to make this a successful event, they all deserve to be recognized and thanked:

As in the past, our community of merchants, restaurants and food vendors came through with generous donations, which is how we are able to raise the kind of funds that this event has been doing successfully. These folks deserve our recognition and accolades as well:
